Measuring the Drop of a Pendant
1) The drop is a measurement from the ceiling to the approximate top of your pendant or to the bottom of the pendant (overall drop).
2) The measurement to the top of the pendant will include the canopy , suspension (coil, chain, cable), and the top of the weaving.
3) The measurement to the bottom of the pendant is the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the pendant.
4) If the ceiling is high, it maybe awkward to calculate the pendant drop from the ceiling, Or you maybe most concerned with the distance from the top of a table to the bottom of the pendant. In either case, you can provide the height to the ceiling and the distance you want the pendant to hang above the finished floor or the table top.
Coils (suspension options)
Birch & Willow lighting fixtures are typically suspended by hand-hammered copper coils or rings. We also offers options for suspending pendants by a cable. The electrical wire is attached to either the copper coil, copper rings or cable. Coverings over the cable are available and include: white or black sleeve or fabric.
Customized options are available.
Canopies
Birch & Willow offers canopy options. Several of the standard canopy options are shown. An image of the white canopy option will appear soon.
